Ohio is a blue state again, but my district has a problem. Republican Debra Pryce is claiming victory over Mary Jo Kilroy even though:
#1 - The vote difference is less than 3,600
#2 - 20,000 absentee ballots remain uncounted. We anticipate half of these will be in Ohio's 15th district.
#3 - There were 21,000 provisional ballots cast in Franklin County alone. This was confirmed just minutes ago by the Franklin county Board of Elections
#4 - Up to 1/3 of all Ohio State University students were required to cast provisional ballots Because of Ken Blackwell's strict ID requirements, many students from elsewhere in the world have their hometown address on their license. And that wasn't accepted.
This is ridiculous. Why tell students voting is so important when ultimitely their votes may go uncounted. This race has been tense. Twice my Kilroy lawn sign was destroyed. College students wanted change and I would guess go with Mary Jo. The local media isn't focusing on this and this is a big deal. Pryce can't win with these thousands if votes uncounted.
To know the TOTAL, you have to COUNT THEM ALL!
Update: I can't believe this.
Final vote count to wait until after Ohio St.-Mich. game
